Skin Cancer
It is now estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer at some point during their lives. The most common types of skin cancer are Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma. Our experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center provides us with a unique perspective on the importance of early detection and prompt treatment of skin cancer. We use the most up-to-date technology, including Dermatoscopic analysis and Mole Mapping, to closely follow pigmented growths (moles). We carefully review each patient’s risk factors for the development of skin cancer, including a thorough medical history, family history of melanoma, personal history of sun exposure and blistering sunburns, the presence of numerous moles and/or atypical or dysplastic moles, to determine the best methods to follow your skin. All forms of skin cancer are treated with the most current surgical and non-surgical methods.
